Unmounted Flap Wheels

Unmounted Flap Wheels are flexible abrasive wheels designed for grinding, deburring, blending, surface preparation and finishing across professional fabrication, engineering and metalworking applications.

Unlike mounted flap wheels, unmounted flap wheels are supplied without an integral spindle and are used with a suitable arbor, flange or compatible machine setup depending on the wheel design and application.

Their overlapping abrasive flaps provide consistent contact with the workpiece, allowing the wheel to follow contours and profiles while producing a controlled and uniform surface finish.

Available in a range of diameters, widths, grit sizes and abrasive types, unmounted flap wheels are suitable for working on steel, stainless steel (INOX), aluminium and other metals.

Typical applications include weld blending, deburring, edge finishing, surface preparation, scratch removal and general metal finishing, with different grit grades available for more aggressive material removal through to finer finishing work.
